Wow. That’s about all I can say. Wow.

My travels the past few weeks have been absolutely amazing. I just got back from a whirlwind visit to London, Rome and Paris (after a fun stint in Northampton of course). It was my first time flying over the Atlantic and being able to visit such magnificent places. I must say that Rome was beyond incredible. We spent one entire day just seeing EVERYTHING. Everything that needs to be seen. It was thoroughly exhausting, but totally worth it. There is so much history, so much culture, so MUCH amazing architecture and art. Sheesh. It’s been days and I’m still overwhelmed!

Highlights of the trip (which may not make sense unless you see my bazillion pictures):

UK:

  1. •    Meeting the Northampton folk

  2. •    Befriending Rainbow, Jordan, Corin and Torri

  3. •    Checking out TopShop

  4. •    Rainy bus tour of London

  5. •    Visiting (the outside of) the Globe Theatre

ROME:

  1. •    Coliseum self-guided tour

  2. •    Crappy pizza / delicious beer at the Trevi Fountain

  3. •    Best food/gelato EVER at Ristorante Pizzeria CALABASCIO

  4. •    Amazing art installation on the Spanish Steps

  5. •    Standing directly under the oculus of the Pantheon

  6. •    Blending in with the locals in a great tiny Trastevere bar

  7. •    Infuriating idiots that take photos in the Sistine Chapel

  8. •    Utter AWE inside of St. Peter’s Basilica

  9. •    Getting crazy lost searching for bathroom & ONE LAST gelato!

PARIS:

  1. •    Lonely Planet suggestion... but for the WORST breakfast!

  2. •    Cool/helpful couple from Monte Carlo (yay new friends!)

  3. •    Eiffel Tower fun. But when did Disney take over?

  4. •    Great dinner (thanks Robert Carlyle for the suggestion!)

  5. •    8 hours in the Louvre. (Sheesh! But worth it.)

  6. •    Musee de L’Orangerie = AMAZING

  7. •    Watching “South Park” dubbed in French while packing

  8. •    Falling in love with the singer in the Latin Quarter piano bar
